Tercentenary Celebration of 300 years of Freemasonry in 2017

The first recorded Freemasonry under the United Grand Lodge of England was the formation of four Lodges within one square mile within the City of London on 24th June 1717. We therefore celebrate the Tercentenary i.e. 300 years of Masonry in England in 2017.

The Provincial Grand Master RWBro. Ian Kingsbury has given all Freemasons in the Province of Devonshire three campaign aims for 2017: - 1.  To ensure we all have an opportunity to Celebrate 300 years of Freemasonry. 2.  To Promote Freemasonry in the Community. 3.  To enhance the number of Freemasons in Devon to include New Masons and Joining and Rejoining Members.

So he put a Team together consisting of myself, WBro. Dr Adrian Rogers, WBro. Phil Ratcliff and WBro. Bob Woods and called us “TEAM 300”.

We have recruited specialist help such as: - WBro. Colin Gale’s Membership Team focusing on Masonic Promotion and Promoting Lodge Open Days. WBro. Brian Adams, WBro. Barry Page and WBro. Clive Eden, WBro. Vaughan Harris, WBro. Sean Crannis, WBro. Nick Lewis and WBro. Martin Elliott to help organise events.

There is no doubt that we will be asking for much more help as time goes by.
