The roof was lifted by song at the Cadogan Court annual fair this year. The Devonshire Masonic Choir made their mark by filling the rooms with harmony, under the direction of Barrington Sowden.

Their repertoire included popular songs such as Lennon and McCartney's composition 'Yesterday', to a diverse selection including the glorious 'Finlandia Hymn' by Jean Sibelius. The audience were left wanting more, and the choir will be working hard to increase their repertoire over the months to come.

The quality of their singing was exceeded only by the smart new uniforms donated by their kind benefactor Jill Hurford. The centre front row shows Jill accompanied by Grand Lodge Officer Andy Vodden MBE. They are in turn flanked by Barrington to the left and their Chairman and founder member Bill Wakeham to the right.

The choir rehearse every Monday evening at Dartmoor Lodge, South Brent, and will extend a hearty and fraternal welcome to all who wish to join them. Just contact their Chairman or Secretary as below.
