The Devon Masonic Golf Association Spring Meeting was held on Thursday 24th May 2018 at Honiton Golf Club, Honiton. 38 Brethren in total from North, East, South and West Devon enjoyed a days golf with a 2 course meal and prize presentation all in aid of Charity.
The format for the day was a 4 ball better ball with ¾ handicap (Playing as Pairs). The weather was kind and any rain that was forcast did not appear on the golfers during play making it a humid and part sunny day for all who took part.
Twice a year on the 4th Thursday of May and August Masons from all over the Province of Devonshire as well as a few invited guests play for the Vale of Haldon Bowl and Nigel Adkins (Runner up) Shield along with cheques made payable to their Lodge for Charity of their choosing. There were also Charity cheques for runner up 2nd & 3rd places.
This year a new Trophy has been added in memory of the late W.Bro. Joe Mullins for Nearest the pin. At this meeting total charity cheques to the value of £240.00 were presented to the winners. Once again the Honiton Golf Club put on a superb evening meal. Presentations were then made to the winners of the day, W.Bro Peter Haige Past APGM and President of the DCMA Association presented the prizes.

W.Bro Peter Haige Past APGM, President of the Association welcomed new members, he also thanked everyone who put the day together especially W.Bro. Allan Seager , Secretary, W.Bro. Cliff Nightingale, Treasurer, those involved with selling raffle tickets and W.Bro Dennis Langmead who acted as recorder and checked all the returning score cards.
