Provincial Grand Lodge for the Province of Devonshire was held once again at The Riviera International Conference Centre at Torquay on Monday 18th April 2015. Over 500 Brethren assembled during the morning for the 3 course Banquet Lunch.

The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Ian Kingsbury at the Lunch thanked all the brethren along with many distinguished guests from the many other orders in our Province as well as PGM’s , DPGM’s APGM’s, Secretaries and others active Provincial Officers, from the many other provinces around the country who attended and took time out to support this special day of the year for Devonshire Masonry. After the luncheon the Brethren assembled in the main arena joined by another 100 plus Brethren not dining, making a total of over 600 attending.

Provincial Grand Lodge was then opened by our PGM who was then saluted by all the brethren, the distinguished brethren were then received and also saluted. The meeting commenced as per the agenda in the latest addition of the Devonshire Mason including the appointment of W.Bro Charles Yelland as the new Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Province. The two new Wardens, W.Bro Roger Smith PGSW of Northcote Lodge No.2659 and W.Bro Walker Lapthorne PJGW, Phillamon Lodge No.3226 and the rest of his officers for the year. The Provincial Grand Master then gave his address (which can be found on the welcome page of this website). There was a presentation of a cheque to RW Bro. Peter Hawken MBE PGM of The Mark Master Masons for £10,000 for the 2016 Mark Festival followed by gifts to both W.Bro. Roy Maddock PAGReg being thanked for all the years of service as Provincial Grand Registrar and W.Bro. Anthony Banbury PAGDC being thanked for all the years of service as Provincial Grand Mentor. A collection of Alms & a closing Hymn sung before the meeting was closed. Provincial Grand Lodge will be held next year on Monday 10th April 2017.
